Overseas Insurance Consultants is located in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. The company was founded in 1985. The founder, J. Stuart Elder, Jr., has been in international insurance for over 34 years.

Overseas Insurance Consultants covers tens of thousands of individuals through their employee benefit programs and specialty travel accident plans.

Mr. Elder developed the Overseas Travelers Protection Plan after reviewing a number of travel insurance policies that travel agencies were selling. In much of what he reviewed he found mediocre benefits and high prices. Through the OTPP, benefits and pricing became standardized nationwide for all client organizations.
